As Sri Lanka develops, we have a responsibility to document the changing landscape, to preserve the island we grew up in.
However, as most areas undergo rapid development, many areas are left behind in a state of decay.
A change in perspective sees these places as a preservation of the simplicity and appeal of island life.
This was most apparent in the ever growing town of Arugam Bay and its quiet village, Kudakalliya.
